Shambhala Bungalows – Ko Pha-Ngan
Koh Pahngan, Thailand, 2012-09-03 12:00 by Laerke
Our last day on lovely Ko Pha-Ngan we spent at Shambhala Bungalows at Ao Nai Wok. This is such a charming spot with cute wooden bungalows. Lonely Planet states that one should expect fresh linen, carved wood, artistic lighting and neatly designed bathrooms. All of this is true (though I’m not sure I saw any carved wood come to think of it…) our elevated bungalow also had the coziest balcony with a hammock, throw pillows and a little table – perfect for hanging out and enjoying the breeze.

We spent most of our time by the beach though, Shambahala’s restaurant is right on the beach with a gorgeous wooden deck where we had a scrumptious breakfast. The water was turquoise and clear and the sun was warm – it was a perfect last day, although it made it very hard to say goodbye to Ko Pha-Ngan and return to Bangkok.
