Welcome to Miami
USA, 2017-04-01 12:00 by Laerke

After a 10 hour flight with Norwegian we land in Fort Lauderdale. It was a breeze getting out of the airport, and to collect our rental car. We drive downtown to find our hotel, there is lots of traffic and people on the streets, it is quite obvious that we’ve picked a popular part of town to stay in. Once we get settled in our room we’re exhausted, and hit the sack.
The next morning we head to a giant Walmart to shop for our upcoming camping trip to the Everglades. Oh my, what a humongous store! I’m generally not a big fan of grocery shopping, and I kinda loose the will to live a coupe of times roaming in the store... But we get our shopping done and get the hell out of there.

Then it’s time to hit the beach, so much more fun then Walmart! :D Miami has a wonderful beach, it’s a real city beach backed by high risers and with lots of sun chairs on it. Normally that’s not really our scene, but the water is gorgeous and there is a fun and happy atmosphere on the beach, as well as on streets of the area we’re staying in. It’s spring break time and lots of youngsters dressed to kill are out strutting their stuff with their squads. It’s quite entreating to watch.
That night we celebrated our arrival in the US with a Mexican dinner served by Cuban waiters
??

We had some amazing ceviche, and they had a guacamole bar! It was all so good and we washed it down with a couple of Coronoas.
